Evening performances Tuesday through Saturday, matinee performances Friday and Saturday! Grounds open at 10:00 a.m. for the matinee performances and 4:00 p.m. for the evening performances. Arriving early helps with the crowd arriving at peak times and there is plenty to do before the Rodeo with a wide range of vendors offering food, drinks, apparel and other Western fare, as well as the PPOBR Fan Zone with lots of family-friendly fun, plus some activities for the grown-ups too! After the Rodeo, live music and dancing awaits in the Coors Roadhouse Saloon so plan to stick around.

Head to the Royal Gorge Region during July when Cañon City hosts an exhilarating weekend of boats, bands, and beer at the Royal Gorge Whitewater Festival. It’s Cañon City’s biggest party of the summer, now in its 15th year!

It’s the perfect place to experience Southern Colorado’s outdoors at its finest. This year’s annual Royal Gorge Whitewater Festival takes place on Friday and Saturday, July 26th to 27th, 2024 at Centennial Park.

During the weekend, the days are filled with whitewater competitions and family enjoyment, meanwhile, local and favorite bands from across the nation make Cañon City come alive each night. There are entry fees for each event and profits go directly to the Royal Gorge RIO, a non-profit that supports the city’s expansion of its Whitewater Park and other river and community causes.
