The Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off is an annual balloon festival with lots of events and activities for the entire family to enjoy!

The Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off is a balloon festival that has been held every year since 1977! Over the last 45 years the event has grown into one of the largest ballooning celebrations in the nation and a cherished summer celebration.

This year, Labor Day Lift Off will continue the tradition of providing free, family-friendly festivities for all to enjoy. The event will be held in Memorial Park. Admission to the park is free of charge, for everyone to enjoy.

Presented by Special Olympics Colorado at National Museum of WWII Aviation, Colorado Springs CO presented by Smile Generation!

We’re excited to be back at the National Museum of WWII Aviation! We’ll have family friendly activities, games, vendors and more. Invite your friends and family to join your team or support with a donation from afar. Teams of 10 will compete to pull an historical 25,000 lb (approx.) PBY – Catalina plane 20 feet across the tarmac, looking for the fastest time. Plane pull is family friendly, come for the pull, stay for the party!

The Air Show will be held at 7250 Getting Heights Colorado Springs, Colorado 80916.

There is plenty of parking with easy access in and out of ALL the lots from two different gates off of Powers Blvd.

Most of the parking is within easy walking distance to the gates. There is also shuttle services available for everyone. Close in parking for the handicap.


The Pikes Peak Regional Airshow supports three museums in Colorado Springs—The Ft. Carson 4th Infantry Museum, The Peterson Air and Space Museum and The National Museum of WWII Aviation. These unique institutions are dedicated to the education of future generations through the preservation of our nation’s military heritage.

This compassionate program will be helpful to anyone who want to learn more about facing their own suicide grief and those who wish to support others facing suicide grief.  Supporting those experiencing suicide grief is an important aspect of suicide prevention.
