Since 1986. The annual Mountain Arts Festival in beautiful Woodland Park, Colorado, brings artists from all over the country, and still has the small town feel with plenty of local artists also exhibiting their art. The 70 some artists registered runs the gamut from watercolor, oil, and acrylic paintings to woodworking, from jewelry to sculptures, from metalwork to weavings, and from pottery to finely turned pens. Every year the festival brings art lovers from all over the region.

Entry is free and there will be food and drink vendors on hand as well! $20 coupons are drawn every hour for attendees, which can then be used to purchase art from one of our fine artisans.

***COVID-19 Alert***

For all of you interested in the 35th Annual Mountain Arts Festival to be held in August, we are developing our contingency plans to cope with the coronavirus. The plans will change as we learn more each week about state and local directives for public gatherings. We are trying to stay flexible so we are extending our deadline for MAF artists applications until June 1. Though it would give the Mountain Artists only two months to pull together the Festival, we are confident we could do it. Once again, it all depends on how the virus progresses in the state of Colorado, the directives from state and local governments and how comfortable we feel about sponsoring a large public gathering. If we do cancel the Mountain Arts Festival and you have sent in your application, we will return your check or issue a full refund. Please stay safe and stay home and check back every week on this website for updates.

The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), brought to you by Gran Turismo, also known as The Race to the Clouds, is an invitational automobile hill climb to the summit of Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain in Colorado, USA held on the last Sunday of August.  Founded in 1916 by Spencer Penrose (also the founder of The Broadmoor Hotel, Pikes Peak Highway and El Pomar Foundation), The Broadmoor PPIHC takes place on a 12.42 mile (19.99 km) public toll-road boasting 156 turns, while competitors climb 4,720 ft. (1,440 m.) from the 9,390 ft. (2,862 m.) Start Line at Mile 7 marker on the Pikes Peak Highway to the 14,115 ft. (4,300 m) Finish Line at the mountain’s summit.  As the drivers climb toward the summit, the thin air slows reflexes and saps competitor’s mental and muscle strength in addition to robbing internal combustion engines of up to 30% of the power they are capable of at the Start Line. Competitors and vehicles must be in top shape and condition simply to finish, let alone win. The race is self-sanctioned and is the most diverse one day motorsports event in the world.
